Abaya

This is the world most expensive Abaya. Designed by British couture designer Bruce Oldfield, the abaya features 4,668 diamonds and 359.7 grams of white gold. Valued at $350,000 the abaya was sold in the Gulf and the money was donated to the Islamic Relief charity.

Abaya also known as jubbah. Abaya is an over garment worn by muslims women in parts of the Islamic country. It is the traditional form of hijab, or Islamic dress, for many countries of the Middle East such as the United Arab Emirates, Oman , Saudi etc where it is the national dress. Traditional abaya is usually in black color. The abaya covers the aurat parts for muslims women.

Styles of abaya are different from every country, some abaya have embroidery on black material while others are brightly colored and have different forms of artwork across them. Based on the picture above, there's example for front opening, side opening etc. The abaya also can be worn in prayer cos it covers as the same as telekung, special occasion, casual or formal etc. For those who travel a lot, abaya is a good alternative beside telekung as it is lighter and easier.

But the prices of abaya may be different depends on the materials and design, it can be between RM180 and up until Rm300++. The size of abaya can be known from your height. But it will not really fits you well, it's because the measurement of your body. If you would like to order, you can tell which design you would like to have;- front opening , side opening , gathers , simple embroidery , fancy embroidery etc.
